The expansion of the SZTE Medical Faculty dormitory provides 250 new places with the completion of the closed-row urban block. The ground floor houses the communal functions, and the upper floors house double rooms with private showers. The design, similar to hotel rooms, allows the dormitory to be converted into a guest house during the summer.
The new building wings are covered with clinker tiles, the laying method of which clearly embraces its material, and does not try to imitate traditional brick cladding. The rhythmically alternating pattern, braid-like facade image resolves the strict editing resulting from the function.
